Recently, another happy event occurred: "Reunion after 3 years and Han Palace Spring Festival handkerchiefs."
The other day, at a rehearsal, they were reunited after a long time of three years.
After overcoming a serious illness, she was finally given permission by her doctor to return to a normal life.
I'm so glad I've been working so hard and finally made it here!!
From the beginning of the illness, we were frustrated because we could not do anything.
I'll just wait for the latest updates, but I haven't been in good physical condition for the past two years.
Although we grew distant, I was finally able to give her the present I had been meaning to give her someday as a get-well gift.
For those who play musical instruments, the physical pain is painful, but the damage of having your music taken away is even more devastating. I know this because I've experienced it myself. I would bury my face in my pillow and cry. I imagine she must have endured the same pain when the treatment was difficult and her hopes were fading.
As she says, it's all a test given to them. When they get out of it, everything they gain feels like good news.
I had originally thought of giving this handkerchief as a token of encouragement, but I ended up giving it too late, so it turned out to be the perfect blessing.
There is an erhu piece called "Autumn Moon at the Han Palace" that expresses the painful feelings of a woman in the palace.
This is the exact opposite: "Springtime at the Han Palace," a painting from the Ming dynasty depicting women enjoying themselves in a spring garden, playing musical instruments, admiring flowers, and engaging in cultural activities such as painting and calligraphy. A special handkerchief from the National Palace Museum has been created using parts of the women in the painting.
The original painting is housed in the National Palace Museum in Taiwan (link provided).
There was a photo of the entire painting in the case, so I've included it here as the fabric description for the handkerchief.

She says the hospital is always full of young people with serious illnesses.
Those of you reading this are all fortunate enough to be able to play the erhu in good health, so you may not be too concerned. However, something is happening in the world right now. If we can be careful about that something, I think we can maintain a minimum level of health.
Like the women in "Spring Dawn at the Han Palace" (sorry, men too), I hope everyone can continue to enjoy beautiful musical instruments, engage in cultural activities, and stay healthy. I want everyone around me to stay healthy forever.
