Comments from students at the Chinese Erhu Academy

There will always be a lot of worries and problems, but I hope to be able to enjoy them and approach the erhu in a natural way.

It's fun to gradually become able to play as I practice.

As I start to produce beautiful sounds, I feel more and more motivated.

My encounter with the erhu has given me a sense of calm and leisure in my life, and it has become an indispensable part of it.

It is not just something to play, but also an indispensable part of my life, providing a sound that can soothe my busy days and ease my mind.

I made music friends all over the country.

The process of gradually learning to play songs is very interesting.

There are people here who are older than me, so I hope I can improve while having fun and not rush.

Although I face various conflicts in my daily life that I cannot neglect, the erhu is one of the indispensable things in my life.

I think I've grown in a lot of ways through this.

There is a big difference between listening and playing, but I'm gradually becoming able to play better than before.

I hope to be able to play soothing tones myself someday.

It's a truly profound instrument.

Deeply...

I'm not getting any better, but I'm blessed with great teachers and classmates and the lessons are fun.

The more I try, the harder it seems

The sound of the instrument seems to reflect the human heart, and while it has a mysterious power to move people's hearts, it also has an elusive, unstable quality to it.

I am moved every day by such profound tones.

It's harder than I thought, but I want to continue doing it as a hobby in my retirement.

Due to lack of practice, I can't produce the sound I want to, but I'm going to keep learning patiently.

I feel a sense of fulfillment as I have made friends through the erhu

I started playing the erhu really casually at first, but I honestly didn't think I'd continue for this long (since I live far away).

I think that's because the more you play the erhu, the more attractive it becomes.

Even after a long time, it is difficult to play with depth and emotion.

So I think that's why I'm still continuing it without getting bored.

It's a difficult instrument but a joy to play.
