School History

June 1998: Chang Hwan starts the Chang Hwan Kokyoku School in Onoda City, Yamaguchi Prefecture (now Sanyo Onoda City).

November 1998: Opened a classroom in Yamaguchi City

December 1998: Opened a classroom in Shinnanyo (now Shunan City)

April 1999: Opened Yomiuri KRY Culture Center classroom

1999: Opened the Asa classroom

September 2000: Ube classroom opened

December 2001: First exchange meeting held (Kirara Community Center, Onoda City)

May 2002: Kitakyushu classroom opened in Kokura, Kitakyushu City

November 2002: First presentation (Ube City Silver Community Center Hall)

January 2003: Changed the school name to Chinese Erhu Academy, opened the main school in Sapporo, Hokkaido, and the Yamaguchi office in Onoda.

December 2003: 2nd Yamaguchi Class Exchange Meeting (Ube)

November 2004: 1st Chinese Erhu Academy Recital (Sapporo Factory Hall)

March 2005: Opened a classroom in Asahikawa, Hokkaido

October 2005: The 3rd Yamaguchi Class Exchange Meeting (Yamaguchi City Workers' Hall)

January 2006: 1st New Year's Party (Hotel Sapporo Garden Palace)

May 2006 2nd recital (Sapporo Sun Plaza Hall)

September 2006: Opened the Shin-Sapporo classroom

January 2007: 2nd New Year's Party (Sapporo Prince Hotel)

July 2008 3rd recital (Kitara Hall, Sapporo)

2008 2nd Yamaguchi Presentation (

April 2009: Opened Shimonoseki classroom in Yamaguchi Prefecture and moved Yamaguchi office to Shimonoseki

February 2010 New Year's Concert Exchange (Sapporo Art Forest Arena)

October 2010 3rd Yamaguchi Presentation (Sanyo Onoda City Cultural Center)

November 2010 4th Recital [Concert and Exchange Event] (Kitara Hall, Sapporo)

December 2012: 4th Yamaguchi Presentation and Jiang Tao 5th Anniversary Concert (DREAM SHIP, Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi)

September 2013 5th Presentation (Sapporo Sun Plaza Hall)

October 2014: 5th Yamaguchi Presentation (Sanyo Onoda City Cultural Center)
